Christian Rummel's narration is a joy, his deadpan delivery allowing Harrison's sharp social commentary to shine. The story's pacing is excellent, zipping from one absurd scenario to the next, never giving you time to catch your breath. I loved the unique take on war and soldiering, but the ending felt a tad rushed. It's like Harrison was so busy skewering one aspect of society that he didn't quite tie up the story's loose ends. Still, 'Bill, the Galactic Hero' is a distinctive, laugh-out-loud listen that's perfect for fans of dark humor and social satire in sci-fi.
