I was hooked from the get-go. Mason's writing is crisp and witty, painting a vivid picture of the everyday that's suddenly upended by the extraordinary. The story moves at a steady pace, allowing time for character development and world-building, which is where this audiobook truly shines. Harbour and McCullough are a dream team, their narration styles complementing each other perfectly.
