Blood in the Sand

I was immediately drawn into Blood in the Sand, and it wasn't just the promise of a Caribbean escape. The story is a well-crafted puzzle, with each chapter revealing a new piece that slots into place with satisfying precision. Secours' narration is a standout, her voice capturing the essence of each character, from the laid-back locals to the tense, driven protagonist. The pacing is excellent, building tension like a wave ready to crash, and the production is seamless, with no distracting background noise. My only critique is that I wish there had been more exploration of the island's culture and history, but that's a minor quibble in an otherwise gripping listen.
