As a listener, I was immediately drawn into Connor's world. Oehme's narration is exceptional, capturing Connor's growth from a boy to a formidable protector. The pacing is tight, keeping me on the edge of my seat, and the production effectively uses sound effects to heighten the tension. However, I found some of the political intrigue a bit heavy-handed at times, and a few secondary characters could have used more development. Overall, though, 'Bodyguard' is a gripping listen that will appeal to fans of young adult thrillers and espionage novels alike.
