Born with Teeth

I was blown away by Kate Mulgrew's narration of Born with Teeth. Her voice is like a warm hug, conveying the love and humor that permeate her story. As I listened, I found myself laughing out loud at her parents' antics and nodding in recognition at her struggles to find her place in the world. The pacing is expertly handled, with Mulgrew effortlessly gliding between the serious and the lighthearted moments. One of the things that sets Born with Teeth apart is its unapologetic honesty. My only quibble is that the audiobook could have benefited from a more nuanced exploration of Mulgrew's relationships with her parents.
