About This Audiobook

Broken Heart Attack drops you into the world of high school senior Kellan, who finds himself entangled in a real-life mystery during a dress rehearsal of King Lear. This isn't your typical cozy mystery; it's a suspenseful whodunit that keeps you guessing until the final act. Narrator Sean Huie brings Kellan's voice to life with a perfect blend of youthful curiosity and detective grit, making you feel like you're right there in the audience. What sets this audiobook apart is its seamless blend of Shakespearean drama and modern-day murder mystery, creating a unique listening experience that's both intellectually stimulating and edge-of-your-seat thrilling.

AudioBook Atlas

As a fan of both classic mysteries and Shakespeare, I was immediately drawn to Broken Heart Attack. Sean Huie's narration is spot-on, capturing Kellan's voice with just the right amount of teenage angst and detective prowess. The story moves at a steady pace, with enough red herrings to keep you guessing but not so many that you lose interest. I particularly enjoyed how Cudney weaves themes from King Lear into the murder plot, adding an extra layer of depth to the story. However, I did find some of the character motivations a bit too convenient at times, which was my only real critique. Overall, if you're looking for a mystery that's both smart and suspenseful, with a touch of Shakespearean flair, then Broken Heart Attack is the audiobook for you.
