About This Audiobook

Teddy Connelly is the kind of alpha who forgets to put his shirt on before leaving the house—twice. Architect by day and human disaster by night, he’s never met a social grace he didn’t trip over. So when he locks eyes with Jamie, the quiet omega landscaper whose scent of wildflowers and sawdust fills his head for weeks, Teddy knows he’s in over his head. But omega hearts don’t beat for men who can’t form a sentence, and Teddy’s about to learn that love doesn’t care how many times you drop your coffee.

This mpreg romance twists the ‘opposites attract’ trope into something hilariously tender, where Teddy’s architectural precision clashes with Jamie’s organic, no-plan approach to life—and pregnancy. The chemistry crackles, the pacing never drags, and the emotional beats land with the weight of a deliberate hammer strike. Danny Céspedes’ narration elevates every stumble and sigh, his voice shifting from gruff alpha dominance to soft omega vulnerability with effortless charm. If you’ve ever wanted a romance where the hero’s biggest flaw is also his most endearing trait, this is your next listen.

Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

Danny Céspedes turns what could’ve been a clichéd mpreg trope into a genuinely charismatic performance. His voice for Teddy—a man whose idea of small talk is pointing at a blueprint and grunting—is a masterclass in physical comedy through audio. He nails the alpha’s gruff exterior, but it’s when Teddy’s vulnerability slips through that Céspedes truly shines, his tone dropping into something achingly tender. Jamie’s omega warmth is the perfect counterbalance; his voice carries the quiet confidence of someone who knows exactly what he wants, even when Teddy doesn’t. The story itself is a delightful mess of miscommunication and slow-burn tension, but the production keeps it from feeling too saccharine. The editing is crisp, with just enough ambient sound (the hum of a coffee shop, the crunch of gravel under boots) to ground the scenes without distracting. My only nitpicks? The third act wraps up a little too neatly, and Teddy’s ‘I’m bad at emotions but great at fixing things’ arc occasionally skirts the edge of cartoonish. That said, the payoff—a scene where Teddy, in full alpha protect mode, builds a crib with his bare hands while Jamie watches in stunned awe—is one of the most satisfyingly romantic moments I’ve heard in an mpreg this year. If you crave heat, heart, and a hero who grows on you like a stubborn weed, this audiobook will ruin you in the best way.
