As a huge fan of Alice Clayton, this third Hudson Valley book didn't disappoint, and Elizabeth Louise's narration really elevated it. I couldn't stop listening during my daily commute; her warm, engaging voice and subtle humor perfectly matched Clara's personality – a fiercely independent, hard-working woman finding unexpected romance amidst her hotel rebranding chaos and her passion for running. The story perfectly blends the lighthearted banter with genuine heartfelt moments, and Louise's ability to shift tones fluidly – from Clara's professional drive to her vulnerable emotions – makes the characters utterly compelling. The pacing is excellent, keeping you eager to see how Clara navigates her new connections while staying true to herself. It's fast-paced, charming, and sometimes funny in a 'oh my god, why didn't I think of that' way. My only minor critique is that some supporting characters felt slightly underdeveloped compared to the vibrant core trio, and I wish their potential storylines had been explored a bit more. Overall, a fantastic listen with a wonderful narrator bringing the delightful Clara to life.
