Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

I was hooked from the very first chapter of 'Burning Evidence'. The story is a classic whodunit, but with a twist - the 'who' is the least of our concerns. The real question is why, and how deep the rabbit hole goes. Kirkland does an excellent job of doling out clues and red herrings, keeping the listener guessing until the very end. Hosenfeld's narration is a standout feature of this audiobook. His ability to differentiate characters, from the gruff, world-weary lawyer Leland Munroe to the smooth-talking, slippery restaurant owner Bobby Carter, is nothing short of impressive. The pacing is tight, with just the right balance of action, dialogue, and exposition. My only critique is that some of the secondary characters could have been more fully developed, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding listen. The production quality is top-notch, with no background noise or audio artifacts to distract from the story.
