Bushwhacked

I was immediately drawn into Bushwhacked's isolated, snowbound setting, which feels as claustrophobic as it is beautiful. Helmer masterfully builds tension, not just between Jesse and Sloan, but also with the looming threat of the killer storm and the secrets they both harbor. Vaughn's narration is a perfect match for this intense story. She expertly conveys the characters' emotional journey, from their initial hostility to the tender moments that hint at deeper feelings. However, I did find some of the dialogue a bit too on-the-nose at times, which slightly detracted from the otherwise excellent storytelling. Overall, though, Bushwhacked is a thrilling, heart-pounding listen that's perfect for fans of romantic suspense.
