I devoured 'Circle of Darkness' in a single, thrilling sitting. Joel Leslie's narration is superb, imbuing D'Angelo with a brooding gravitas that makes his struggles with desire utterly relatable. The pacing is expertly handled, hurtling towards a climax that's both satisfying and emotionally resonant. My only quibbles are with the occasional info-dumping, which can feel a tad clunky, and a supporting character whose motivations feel slightly underdeveloped.
