About This Audiobook

Dead Wrong is a genre-defying, pulse-pounding ride that seamlessly weaves together the threads of paranormal romance and LGBTQ+ mystery. Author Alexander C. Eberhart masterfully crafts a narrative that is both a thrilling whodunit and a poignant exploration of love, redemption, and second chances. As the story hurtles forward, the stakes rise, and the stakes are not just about solving a murder mystery, but also about confronting one's darkest past and the possibility of forgiveness. Joel Leslie's narration is a masterclass in bringing the complex, troubled protagonist to life, imbuing Tobias with a depth and nuance that makes his struggles feel all too real. Leslie's skillful handling of the narrative's dark tone is balanced by his ability to infuse the audiobook with a sense of hope and longing.

Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

As an editor, I've had the pleasure of listening to countless audiobooks, but Dead Wrong has left an indelible mark on me. Part of the reason lies in the author's bold storytelling choices, which eschew convention in favor of a more experimental, genre-bending approach. It's not always easy to make this work, but Eberhart pulls it off with aplomb, and the results are nothing short of mesmerizing. Joel Leslie's narration is a perfect complement to the author's vision, bringing a level of emotional depth and vulnerability to the story that draws the listener in and refuses to let go. If I have any quibbles, it's that the pacing can feel a tad rushed at times, particularly in the final act, where the stakes are at their highest. Still, this is a minor complaint in an otherwise exemplary production. Eberhart and Leslie have created something truly special here – a tale that will linger long after the final chapter has faded to black.
