As someone who's listened to my fair share of true crime audiobooks, I found 'Clutches of Madness' to be a refreshing change. It's not about the gore or the chase, but the psychology behind these monsters. Serevičius' writing is concise and informative, like a clinical report, which might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I found it engaging and easy to digest. Kline's narration is excellent, maintaining a steady pace that keeps you engaged without resorting to dramatic flourishes. My only critique is that sometimes the lack of emotional tone can make the content feel a bit detached. But if you're looking for a serious, in-depth exploration of serial killers, this is a must-listen.
