Also, while Brooker’s tone is generally excellent, his pronunciation of certain acronyms (looking at you, “SQL”) occasionally grated. Where this audiobook *shines* is in its production polish. No awkward edits or volume spikes, and the sound quality is crisp enough that you won’t miss a word even at 1.25x speed. It’s clearly designed for listeners who want to *use* this knowledge, not just passively absorb it—whether you’re a bootcamp grad brushing up, a manager needing to speak dev fluently, or a hobbyist tired of YouTube tutorials that skip the fundamentals. Just don’t expect hand-holding: Rigdon assumes you’re here to *learn*, not be entertained. And honestly? That’s refreshing.
