About This Audiobook

Corrupt Justice by Peter O'Mahoney dives headfirst into the complex relationships between law enforcement, justice, and the streets of Chicago. As defense attorney Tex Hunter takes on a seemingly impossible case, the story expertly weaves together a narrative of high-stakes tension and moral ambiguity. Narrator Joe Knezevich brings this world to life with a confident, measured tone that's perfectly suited to the gritty subject matter. His performance is a masterclass in subtle characterization, imbuing even minor players with depth and nuance.

As the case heats up and the stakes grow higher, O'Mahoney's writing is both propulsive and thought-provoking, posing uncomfortable questions about the fairness of the justice system and the motivations of those who defend it. This is a thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat, but it's also a deeply unsettling exploration of the darker corners of human nature.

Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

I was hooked from the opening pages of Corrupt Justice, drawn in by the intricate web of corruption and deceit that O'Mahoney so skillfully spins. Narrator Joe Knezevich is a major part of the book's appeal, bringing a sense of gravity and intensity to the story that perfectly complements the author's writing style. If I have any criticism, it's that some of the supporting characters feel a bit one-dimensional at times – a minor quibble in an otherwise exceptional narrative. That being said, the real standout here is the pacing, which expertly ramps up the tension as the case unfolds. I was on the edge of my seat for much of the book, unsure of what would happen next or who would emerge as the true culprit. Production values are top-notch, with clear, crisp sound that makes it easy to get lost in the story. Overall, Corrupt Justice is a must-listen for fans of the thriller genre – and a great introduction to O'Mahoney's work for anyone new to his writing.
