Dead Heat

I was immediately drawn into Dead Heat's atmospheric setting and the intriguing dynamic between the characters. Rufus Wright's narration is a standout feature, his ability to convey the subtle shifts in emotion and intent making each character feel authentic and unpredictable. The pacing is excellent, with Durrant expertly doling out clues and red herrings to keep the listener on the edge of their seat. My only critique is that some of the twists feel slightly contrived, but they're forgivable in the face of such a compelling narrative. Overall, Dead Heat is a thrilling listen that's perfect for fans of complex mysteries and unreliable narrators.
