Death on Gokumon Island

I was hooked from the start with Death on Gokumon Island. Akira Matsumoto's narration is a standout, his calm, measured tone perfectly complementing the story's tense moments. The pacing is spot on, keeping you on the edge of your seat as Kosuke Kindaichi unravels the mystery. The story is like a well-crafted puzzle, with Yokomizo masterfully revealing clues and red herrings. However, some of the cultural references might feel lost on listeners unfamiliar with Japanese society post-WWII. Despite that, it's a minor quibble in an otherwise engaging listen. If you enjoy a good mystery with a touch of the exotic, this is a must-listen.
