I've listened to my fair share of thrillers, but 'Deception' kept me on the edge of my seat in a way few others have. Rubinstein's narration is spot-on, capturing Delaware's weariness and determination in equal measure. The story moves at a steady pace, ratcheting up tension with each revelation. Kellerman's exploration of the killer's mind is both fascinating and disturbing, though at times it feels like he's trying to outdo himself in the darkness department.
