Demon

Listening to 'Demon' is like being on a rollercoaster ride through the solar system, with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. Allyson Johnson's narration is exceptional, her voice perfectly capturing the weary, world-weary tone of the detective protagonist. She also does an impressive job with the diverse cast of characters, each with their own unique quirks and motivations. The pacing is excellent, with a slow burn that builds to a satisfying climax. My only critique is that some of the scientific explanations can feel a bit info-dumpy at times, but it's a minor flaw in an otherwise outstanding audiobook. If you're a fan of hard-boiled detective stories with a science fiction twist, 'Demon' is a must-listen.
