I was thoroughly enchanted by Gert Heidenreich's narration of Die unendliche Geschichte. His warm, expressive voice drew me into the world of Phantásien, and I found myself fully invested in the story of Bastian and the Childlike Empress. The pacing was well-balanced, with Heidenreich skillfully conveying the sense of urgency and danger that drives the plot. One of the standout elements of the narration was the way Heidenreich brought the characters to life, from the vulnerability of Bastian to the enigmatic presence of the Childlike Empress. If I have any critiques, it's that some of the supporting characters felt slightly one-dimensional at times, and the production could have benefited from a bit more dynamic sound design. Nevertheless, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise exceptional listening experience. Overall, I highly recommend Die unendliche Geschichte to anyone looking for a rich, immersive fantasy tale with outstanding narration.
