As a lifelong Eagles fan, I was eager to dive into 'Dark Desert Highway', and I wasn't disappointed. Mick Wall's storytelling is engaging and unflinching, painting a vivid picture of the band's rise, fall, and rise again. Jeff Harding's narration is a perfect match, his deep, resonant voice bringing Wall's words to life. He captures the essence of each band member, from Don Henley's steely determination to Glenn Frey's laid-back charm. The pacing is spot-on, never lingering too long on one era or another. My only critique? I wish Harding had attempted some of the band's iconic songs to truly bring the story to life. But that's a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding audiobook experience.
