Unprotected

Listening to Billy Porter narrate his own life story is like having a front-row seat to a one-man show. His performance is nothing short of extraordinary, infusing each word with emotion and bringing his memories to life. He doesn't shy away from the tough stuff - from his mother's struggles with mental illness to his own battles with addiction and HIV - and his honesty is both refreshing and inspiring. The pacing is excellent, with Porter expertly balancing moments of levity with profound reflection. If I have one critique, it's that the production could have benefited from a bit more variety in the sound design, but that's a minor quibble. Overall, 'Unprotected' is a must-listen for anyone who's ever felt like an outsider, or who simply loves a good story, well told.
