I devoured Echo Ridge in a single sitting, thanks in no small part to Iben Haaest's pitch-perfect narration. The way Haaest conveys Ellery's determination and curiosity is spot on, drawing the listener into the mystery. McManus's plotting is masterful, with a series of unexpected twists that kept me guessing. If I have a quibble, it's that some of the supporting characters feel a bit one-dimensional at times. Additionally, the production could benefit from a slightly more nuanced sound design to enhance the tension. Still, these are minor complaints in an otherwise gripping and well-crafted audiobook that fans of mystery and suspense will love.
