I was immediately drawn into 'Knoglen' by Anne-Marie Donslund, thanks to Iben Haaest's energetic narration. She expertly captures the emotions of Molly and Mikkel, making their summer predicament feel all the more relatable. The mystery is cleverly plotted, with just the right amount of suspense to keep young listeners engaged. The pacing is spot on, never lingering too long on details that might lose younger attention spans. My only critique is that some of the Danish cultural references might fly over the heads of international listeners, but that's a small price to pay for such an enjoyable listen. Overall, 'Knoglen' is a fantastic choice for families looking for a suspenseful yet age-appropriate audiobook.
