As an avid fantasy audiobook listener, I was immediately drawn into Embers by Camilla Ochlan, narrated by P.J. Ochlan. From the very first chapter, P.J. Ochlan's captivating narration had me hooked. His ability to convey the emotions and personalities of each character was exceptional, making it easy to become invested in their journeys. The story itself is a delightful mix of humor, danger, and ancient magic, with a protagonist in Nikki Deldano that feels both relatable and extraordinary. Ochlan's pacing was spot-on, keeping me engaged and eager to learn more about the mysterious world of Melia. One minor critique would be the occasional lack of differentiation between certain character voices, which occasionally caused some confusion. However, this did not detract from my overall enjoyment of the audiobook. Embers is a fantastic addition to the fantasy genre, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a captivating and engaging listen.
