Escape from the Slave Traders: Introducing David Livingstone

Jim Hodges' narration is the heartbeat of this audiobook. He seamlessly switches between the voices of Wikatani and Chuma, capturing their youthful spirit and growing maturity as they navigate their ordeal. His pacing is spot-on, building tension and suspense, making it hard to hit pause. The story itself is a gripping tale of survival, but it's the deep friendship between the two boys that truly resonates. My only critique is that some of the historical details could have been woven more smoothly into the narrative. However, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent audiobook that's perfect for young listeners and adults alike.
