His delivery during the ‘Sermon on the Mount’ sections carries the cadence of a street-corner prophet, but when Jodorowsky veers into personal anecdotes (like his own childhood encounters with religion), Rosas’ tone softens, making the audiobook feel like a late-night confession. That said, this isn’t a flawless listen. The structure can feel meandering—Jodorowsky’s associative leaps, while often brilliant, occasionally leave you grasping for the thread. And at times, the production’s minimalist approach works against it: a few more sonic cues (even subtle ambient textures) might’ve helped distinguish between biblical narrative, analysis, and Jodorowsky’s signature digressions.
