I devoured Fated Over Forty in one sitting – or rather, one long listening session. D.C. Cole's narration is top-notch, bringing warmth and nuance to the characters. I loved how the stories balanced humor and heart, often in the same scene. The pacing is well-handled, with a good mix of quick, snappy dialogue and more introspective moments. If I have any quibbles, it's that some of the supporting characters feel a bit underdeveloped, and a few of the storylines feel a tad formulaic. Still, Meg Ripley's writing is engaging and immersive, and the production quality is excellent. Overall, I highly recommend this audiobook to fans of paranormal romance and shifter fiction.
