Fifty Classic Ghost Stories

As a long-time fan of classic ghost stories, I was thrilled to dive into this comprehensive collection. Cathy Dobson's narration is a highlight, bringing a sense of intimacy and immediacy to the tales. Her pacing is well-suited to the varied styles of the stories, from the slow-burning tension of a Gothic horror tale to the snappy wit of a more modern ghost story. One minor quibble: some of the story titles are announced in a slightly jarring tone, which can be a bit disorienting. Overall, however, this is a superb production that will delight fans of the genre. My only other criticism is that some of the lesser-known stories feel a bit dated, but this is a minor complaint in an otherwise excellent collection.
