Don Hoeksema’s voice is steady and reassuring—like a seasoned mentor walking you through each concept without rushing. The production is clean, no background noise or awkward pauses, and the pacing keeps momentum without feeling rushed. Flynn’s structure is smart: he starts with the basics of how currency markets operate, then builds up to spreads, leverage, and the importance of a trading plan. I especially appreciated his warnings about emotional trading—something most beginner guides gloss over. That said, I did wish for a few real-time examples or sample trades to illustrate key points. The concepts are solid, but a concrete case study would’ve anchored them better. Also, while the brevity is a strength, the section on technical analysis felt slightly underdeveloped—just a mention of candlestick charts without deeper context. Still, these are minor gaps in an otherwise excellent primer. This isn’t a magic formula for wealth, and it doesn’t pretend to be. It’s a rational, no-BS starting point—and for that, it’s invaluable.
