Morag Sims and Will Watt’s performances are nothing short of exceptional; their voices perfectly complement each other, bringing depth and nuance to every character. The story itself is a whirlwind of emotions and ideas, with Kuang painting vivid scenes through carefully crafted descriptions that make you feel as if you're part of the narrative. However, at times, the pacing can be a bit uneven, with some sections feeling slightly slower than others. Despite this minor quibble, Katabasis remains a compelling audiobook that will engage and challenge listeners from start to finish.
