Summer at Sandcastle Cottage

Karen Cass’s soothing voice makes the first half a pleasure, painting idyllic Firefly Common and Sandcastle Cottage with vivid detail. However, the narrative soon veers into predictable territory riddled with clichés about broken hearts and unfulfilled potential. The pacing lags during Kitty's introspective monologues, making for slow going. By the end, instead of a satisfying resolution, listeners are left questioning whether the cottage or Kitty’s character arc was truly worth the time. Despite Karen’s best efforts, the story falters under its own weight, turning what should have been a joyous escape into an exercise in mild frustration.
