As someone who's been learning French for a while, I was excited to dive into 'French Short Stories for Beginners (A2) Skill Level'. I was impressed by Derek Monaghan's narration - his pace is spot on, and he enunciates clearly, making it easy to follow along. The stories themselves are well-chosen, with a good mix of humor, everyday situations, and relatable characters. I appreciated how the stories gradually got a bit more challenging as the audiobook progressed. One thing that might be improved is a bit more variation in the narration - sometimes Monaghan's tone can feel a tad flat. Additionally, a few of the stories felt a bit disconnected from one another, but overall, this didn't detract from my listening experience. Overall, I think this is a solid addition to any French learner's audiobook collection, and I'm looking forward to checking out more from Sebastian Cutillo.
