I was immediately drawn into 'The Guardian, The Quest' by its gripping premise and fast-paced narrative. Sarah Lucero's narration is a real highlight, her ability to convey emotion and urgency making the story all the more engaging. The friendship between Sam and Jake is beautifully portrayed, with Lucero's distinct voices for each character helping to bring their bond to life. The quest for the golden dragon is filled with twists and turns, and while I did guess a few, there were enough surprises to keep me on the edge of my seat. My only critique is that some of the world-building could have been more fleshed out, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent listen. This audiobook is a fantastic choice for fans of action-packed fantasy with a heart.
