Holter Graham’s narration elevated the material from solid to extraordinary—his delivery of the justice’s unraveling psyche is nothing short of mesmerizing. He doesn’t just read lines; he *performs* them, modulating his voice from icy detachment to frenetic panic with surgical precision. The production is crisp, with zero audio artifacts to distract from Graham’s performance, which is saying something in a 10-hour listen. The plot is where things get dicey. Finder’s setup is brilliant—a blackmail scheme targeting the Supreme Court is a twist on the usual political thriller tropes—but the middle third drags when secondary characters clog the gears. A few too many subplots introduce moral dilemmas that feel more like lecture notes than organic tension.
