Lexi Evans steals the show with a performance that’s equal parts seductive and unsettling. She nails the character’s vulnerability beneath the steel, but it’s Heath’s narration by Logan Anare that lingers. His voice has a gravelly edge that suits the toxicity perfectly, though at times his delivery feels overly restrained, as if he’s holding back the full force of Heath’s volatility. The production quality is top-tier, with a sound design that amplifies the tension, but the story’s pacing drags in the middle act, as if the characters’ descent into chaos needed to slow down just to make it hurt more. Still, Heath earns every second of its run time—this isn’t a book you finish so much as survive.
