Home Fires

I was thoroughly engrossed by Home Fires, largely due to Joe Barrett's superb narration. His ability to convey the author's voice and emotions made the story feel both personal and relatable. The pacing was well-balanced, moving seamlessly between family anecdotes and broader historical events. One minor quibble is that some of the transitions between sections felt a bit abrupt, but overall, the production was well-executed. I also appreciated the introductions and afterword, which added context and depth to the narrative. My only other criticism is that the audiobook could have benefited from a more detailed timeline of events, but this was a minor issue in an otherwise excellent production.
