Home Is Where the Heat Is

I was immediately drawn into 'Home Is Where the Heat Is' by its deceptively peaceful opening. Ciulla's narration of the initial Earth-bound scenes is soothing, allowing the listener to fully immerse themselves in the serene setting. However, Boyd expertly turns this tranquility on its head, escalating the tension with each reveal of the Commonwealth tech's power and the lengths people will go to possess it. The pacing is flawless, maintaining a steady, heart-pounding rhythm that kept me on the edge of my seat. The only critique I have is that some secondary characters could have been more fleshed out, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent audiobook. The production is top-notch, with clear audio quality and no distracting background noise.
