Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

I went into Homecoming with high expectations, and Carolyne Aarsen did not disappoint. This audiobook is a quiet but unyielding exploration of what it means to heal, to forgive, and to love again – and I was deeply moved by Sheryl's journey. One of the standout elements of this production is Goer's nuanced portrayal of Mark, the rugged rancher who slowly wins Sheryl's trust. Goer brings a depth and vulnerability to this character that's remarkable, making his romance with Sheryl feel all the more authentic. If I have one critique, it's that the supporting cast feels somewhat one-dimensional at times – Sheryl's disapproving stepfather, in particular, feels more like a plot device than a fully fleshed-out character. Still, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent production. Overall, Homecoming is a testament to the power of storytelling to transform and redeem, and I'd highly recommend it to fans of Christian fiction and anyone looking for a gentle but unflinching exploration of the human heart.
