Hugo

As someone who enjoys delving into the tangled roots of small-town secrets, I found myself completely absorbed in Hugo. The narrators' performances were top-notch, with Auri Alden's smooth delivery perfectly complementing Stephen Borne's edgier tones. Their dynamic chemistry added an extra layer of realism to the story, making it feel like a conversation with friends. I was particularly drawn to the complex relationships and the way they unraveled throughout the book. However, I did feel that the pacing slowed a bit in the middle, which took away from the overall impact of the story. Despite this minor issue, Hugo remains a gripping and engaging listen that will leave you questioning the true nature of family and loyalty.
