Hunted

I’ll admit, I was skeptical about tackling *Hunted* during a heatwave—erotic fiction set in freezing Norway sounds like a masochist’s choice. But from the opening chapter, the audiobook’s grip was ironclad. Ivy and King’s dual narration is a masterclass in contrast: Ivy’s breathy, vulnerable portrayal of the protagonist makes her easy to root for, while King’s gravelly, predatory voice for Aksel is so deliciously sinister it’s almost disconcerting. The pacing is relentless, with Winters balancing visceral survival tension against the simmering, toxic chemistry between the two leads. That said, the abrupt shift into certain… *activities* mid-survival scenario did feel jarring at first—like a wound being stitched closed while still bleeding. The production is flawless, though, with every creak of pine branches or distant animal call adding to the claustrophobic dread. If you’re here for a romance, walk away; this is a story about power, possession, and the thin line between safety and surrender. And damn, Aksel is terrifyingly good at blurring it.
