I've always been a fan of Follett's intricate plots, but listening to Il codice Rebecca was a whole new experience. Mei's narration is nothing short of exceptional. His ability to capture the essence of each character, from the cunning Rommel to the determined British commander, is truly impressive. The pacing is perfect, building tension at just the right moments. However, I found some of the historical details a bit dense at times, which could potentially slow down the listen for some. But if you're a fan of historical thrillers, this is a must-listen. It's like a high-stakes game of chess, played out against the backdrop of the North African desert.
