The protagonist, a NaviTech engineer caught in the crossfire, isn’t a spy or a soldier; he’s a guy who understands silicon better than sabotage, and that grounded perspective makes the stakes feel terrifyingly real. When a Chinese delegate casually mentions ‘supply chain adjustments’ over espresso, it’s more menacing than any car chase. Jacopo Rampini’s performance is *almost* flawless—his pacing is impeccable, ratcheting up tension during negotiation scenes with a slight tightness in his voice that mirrors the characters’ stress. My only critique? His English accents (used sparingly for American characters) occasionally veer into caricature, a minor but jarring contrast to the otherwise naturalistic delivery. The audio production, though, is stellar: the mix of Italian and English dialogue (untranslated, adding authenticity) and the sparse, atmospheric sound design (think distant keyboard clacks, the hum of a secure line) immerse you in a world where the next global crisis starts with a leaked email. The 10-hour runtime flies by, but be warned: you’ll side-eye every ‘Made in Italy’ label afterward.
