As a long-time romance reader, I was both intrigued and skeptical by the premise of Immoral. Would I be able to stomach a narrative that revolves around a forced marriage? Absolutely, thanks to Maggie Cole's masterful storytelling and the outstanding narration by Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter. What I loved most about this audiobook is the way it expertly balances the darker themes with the romance, creating a rich, nuanced narrative that feels both authentic and unapologetic. However, I did find the supporting cast to be somewhat underdeveloped, particularly Gianni's sister, who feels like a missed opportunity for added depth and complexity. Still, this minor quibble didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the story, which is both thought-provoking and unashamedly sexy. If you're a fan of multicultural romance with a touch of drama and intrigue, Immoral is an absolute must-listen.
