As someone who's been fascinated by the Civil War for years, I found myself completely engrossed in In the Cause of Liberty. Eric Bodrero's narration was incredibly engaging, capturing the passion and expertise of the contributing scholars without ever sounding overly academic. Each chapter felt like a fascinating conversation with an expert on the subject, and I appreciated how Bodrero's pacing kept me interested without overwhelming me with information. The production quality was top-notch, with clear audio and helpful chapter breaks. My only critique would be that, at times, the focus on one specific aspect of the war's impact felt a bit disjointed from the rest of the collection. But overall, this audiobook was an excellent addition to my Civil War library, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone interested in the subject.
