Miller’s writing is lean and mean, but what impressed me most was how she balances the technical (aviation mechanics, deposition tactics) with raw human stakes. When Sasha’s digging uncovers a conspiracy that stretches beyond the crash, the plot twists feel earned, not gimmicky. Now, the narration: Suzanne T. Fortin is *excellent*, but her performance isn’t for everyone. She leans into Sasha’s cynicism with a clipped, almost brusque delivery that perfectly matches the character’s no-BS attitude—but in quieter moments, I wished for a touch more emotional range. The production is polished, though a few abrupt chapter transitions pulled me out of the story. Still, the audiobook’s strength lies in how it turns legalese into a thriller. If you love protagonists who are flawed, ferocious, and willing to bend the rules, Sasha’s your woman. Just don’t expect easy answers—or an easy ride.
