The rebellion’s plot to free Shyora hinges on *logistics*: smuggling, propaganda, and the kind of bureaucratic warfare that’s rarely this compelling in fantasy. My favorite moment? A tense scene where Liam has to improvise a cover story using *tax records*—yes, really. It’s that kind of grounded creativity that makes this stand out. The Virtual Voice narration is polarizing, but I found it grew on me. It lacks the emotional range of a human performer (don’t expect sobs or growls), but its flat affect weirdly suits the story’s spy-thriller vibe—like a debriefing report where the stakes are life-or-death but the tone stays cool. My two critiques: First, the audio production occasionally stumbles with pacing during action sequences, where a human narrator might’ve added urgency.
