It Waits in the Woods

I've always been a sucker for campfire stories, and 'It Waits in the Woods' is a perfect addition to that genre. Malerman's storytelling is masterful, building tension with each step deeper into the woods. Ezzo's narration is spot-on, her voice capturing the protagonist's growing unease and making the story feel all the more real. The pacing is excellent, with the tension ratcheting up until the final, chilling moments. My only critique is that I wish it were longer - I was left wanting more of this creepy tale. But then again, maybe it's better that it's left me hungry for more, rather than overstaying its welcome. Overall, a fantastic listen for anyone looking for a quick, chilling horror fix.
