I dove into 'Kill the Competition' expecting a light-hearted mystery, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I laughed out loud. Jodie Bentley's narration is spot-on, capturing Tori's sarcastic wit and turning even mundane scenes into comedic gold. The story moves at a brisk pace, keeping you engaged with a steady stream of twists and turns. However, I did find some of the secondary characters a bit one-dimensional, and a couple of plot points were wrapped up a tad too neatly. But these minor critiques didn't detract from my overall enjoyment. If you're in the mood for a mystery that's more 'chick lit' than 'hard-boiled,' this is your perfect audiobook pick.
