I was swept up in La délicatesse's subtle yet powerful exploration of grief, love, and human connection. Malik Zidi's narration is a masterclass in restraint, conveying François' emotional state through subtle pauses and inflections. The story's pacing is deliberate and measured, allowing listeners to absorb the protagonist's inner world. One minor quibble: some of the supporting characters feel slightly underdeveloped, and a few plot threads are left tantalizingly unresolved. However, these minor flaws are largely offset by the narrative's emotional resonance and Zidi's empathetic performance.
